Popcorn and I have a history. I absolutely L.O.V.E. it! Serious addiction. It is just another day in the life of Dan to witness me down a large tub of buttered popcorn at the movies before previews have even finished. This is no joke my friends.
I was looking for something fast and easy the other night to serve to house guests for a late night snack. I not only wanted it to be delicious, but wanted it to be something that they had never tried before. Something to make them say Oooo! Ah!
I decided to give Cookies and Cream Popcorn a whirl. It turned out to be the perfect treat while watching college football bowl games. I had leftover White Almond Bark from Chocolate Dipped Pretzels so I put it to use. Recipes for Cookies and Cream Popcorn have popped up all over the place, including Bakegirl, and Singforyoursuperblog.
This popcorn was delicious, unique, quick and easy, allowing me to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with my guests. My recipe uses a mini bag of popcorn and smaller measurements, thus making a smaller sized batch. This ensured I would not be proving to my husband's Aunt and Uncle what an uncontrollable eater I can be. Not kidding.
My name is Kaela Carpenter, and I have a popcorn problem.
Take my word for it. Try this recipe.

1 mini bag of Popcorn
1-2 tsp of Butter Flavored Crisco (if needed) (or regular flavor or Margarine or butter)

-Drizzle the Almond Bark over the popcorn/Oreo mixture. Use a rubber scrapper to get it all out of the bowl and onto the popcorn
-Stir it all together until the popcorn is coated pretty evenly
-Dump it all out onto waxed paper and spread it out in a single layer
-Let it sit to cool and harden
-Break into pieces and serve in bowls or store in airtight container
