Slow Cooker Bean Soup
1 cup dry pinto beans rinsed
2 1/2 cup water
1 cup beef broth
1 cup chicken broth
8 slices of smoked turkey bacon chopped
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 tsp ground dry mustard
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup carrots diced
pepper to taste
-Throw all ingredients in crock pot....make sure lid is on. Leave lid on now until end of cooking time. NEVER OPEN!
-Put on high for 10 min.
-Turn to low for 8-10 hours.
-Mine took 7 hours 45 minutes, and then I kept on "warm" for a bit.....
-Served Dan and I with seconds......I would say about 3 servings.
-Suggestion - dash of hot sauce in individual bowls of soup. But great w/o.
-This was really easy and really tasty.
-Nice to pop in the pot in the morning and come back home to food at night.
